– Have you had any difficult confrontations with people who oppose your Christian beliefs? How did you handle it? Is there anything you wish you said/did differently?
– The Herodians were a Jewish political group that placed their hopes on the rule/success of Herod and his descendants. Is there a danger in placing too much of our hope in a politician or political party?
– Read Romans 13:1. Does this still apply to political leaders who promote things that are unfaithful or and are contrary to God’s Word? For a Christ-followers, what does a faithful approach to politics/government look like?
– Respond to this quote: “One may owe Caesar what bears his image and name- money. One owes God what bears his image and name. Since we are created in the image of God and bear his name as children of God, we owe him our whole selves.” -David Garland
