Why is it important to understand that on the 7th day of creation God WANTED to rest and did not NEED to rest?

Egypt was a sabbath-less place with false idol gods demanding more and more production. Do you see any parallels between life in ancient Egypt and life in our time/culture?

It was said in the sermon: “Jesus, Often, intentionally said NO to the crowds, NO the busyness, NO the expectations, NO to the to do list…so that he could be alone with the Father in prayer.” What might we need to be saying “No” to more often?
