The definition we are using for “Blessed” in this series is: “God’s presence and activity”. What do you think about that? What could be added or changed?
How might our world/culture define “blessing” differently than how Jesus does? Give examples.  

How are Jesus’ beatitudes countercultural? 

Put in your own words what it means to be “Poor in Spirit”. Which people in Scripture were poor in Spirit? In what way? How were they blessed?
