Scriptures to Review: Mark 5-21-24, 35-43

–        Read Mark 5:22-23. What is one word you would use to describe Jairus?

–        Read Mark 5:35-36   Try to put yourself in Jairus’ place. You just heard your daughter has died but Jesus says “Don’t be afraid. Just have faith.” How do you think you would feel in that moment? How would you respond to Jesus?

–        Why do you think Jesus brought only Peter, James, and John with him?

–        Why do you think Jesus said “she’s only asleep” instead of something like “Yes, she has died but I will give her new life”?

–        How was the laughter of the crowd in this passage similar/different to Sarah’s laugher in Genesis 18:10-15.

–        What is a current struggle/issue that you feel Jesus asking, “Will you trust me?” Spend some time praying together about these things.
