• Share a time when you found yourself in a challenging predicament because of something you said.
• James 1:26 is a direct instruction to control our tongues. Yet, James 3:2 and 8 indicates that it is uncontrollable. How can these two passages work together?
• If our words have so much potential for evil, should Christians just refrain from speaking, or speak as little as possible? Why/Why not?
• Can you think of a time when someone’s words were a powerful blessing to you?
• How can/should we use the power of our words to regularly bless others?
