Much of Joseph’s story is him trusting God with things that are beyond his control. This closing section involves Joseph welcoming God to be present and active in choices he DOES have control over. 

• Recently, what are some choices that you have had to intentionally welcome God to be present/active in? (ex: relationships, finances, etc.) 

Why/How was Joseph so quick to forgive his brothers? 

Read Matthew 7:13-14. What does this have to do with forgiveness and compassion?

What does it mean for Jesus to soften your heart? What does it mean for Jesus to open your eyes? 

Joseph had compassion on those in need outside of Egypt and provided for them out of Egypt’s abundance. What might that sort of active compassion look like for us? Our families? Our church? 

What is your #1 takeaway from this series in the life of Joseph? How can you apply it?
